Which event deserves fine words,
The lizard discovered dead
And decomposing to stench
Within the laundry hamper,
Or the rich man on trial
For using his wealth to spin wealth
Through the keyholes of locked laws
That can’t seem to contain him?
Which event more deserves words,
The day spent household cleaning,
Or the year spent finishing
A lifespan in last decay?
No event deserves words, none,
Except events words have done.
