Asleep when everyone else
Was wide awake, or awake

When everyone was sleeping?
—What kind of question is that?
—Just tell me. —Awake, I guess.

—I’m going to write a novel
Set in a dystopic world
Possessed by dreaming sickness,

And I need to figure out
Whether my protagonist
Should be the first one to dream

Or the last. —You could do both.
—Boring! Everyone is both.
