In the language of cuticular
Hydrocarbons, identity rules,
And to the extent that politics
Has metaphorical relevance,
All politics is identity
Politics. Does your grease smell like ours?
If it doesn’t, you’re an enemy.
Simple, see? Well, not simple at all,
Molecularly, but functional.
Doesn’t seem necessarily bad
To organize by identity
If you just want coordination.
Where it gets tricky is when you want
Facultative coordination
In diversifying arrangements.
For that you need your identities
More light magnets, less cuticular
Hydrocarbon gluey greasiness.
