It’s a sumptuous vanity
To wish to be remembered
As having said something wise.

Vanity keeps us alive:
It’s the foolishness that’s wise.
Only fungus frees the ant

From behaving like an ant,
But as fungus becomes us,
Our wisdom has become us.
