All First Symphonies Are Probably Hopeful Anyway

The technology
Ran ahead of the empire;
The technology

Shifted the biology.
Gods created us to serve,
So we created robots.

What do we have left?
The brain is still capable
Of suggesting surprises,

Taking language and music
Down into its dark smithy
Of smelting and liquation,

Discovering something new
No soul, god, or robot knew.
