Spherical Dice

Probability doesn't have edges,
At least not when it comes to perspective
Or personal good or bad fortune.
It's not like a storm front we use it
To describe. Once the wind starts
Blowing one way, good or ill, we can't
Expect more of the same, not at any
Given bend of the day that began
Well for us, or for us quite badly.
Fortune isn't for us. It doesn't alter
Likelihood during our hot or cold streaks,
And yet we have to endure it
Because, however unlikely, probability
Rules. Uncertainty is our certainty.
