To catch the organism as a whole
In the process of getting older, no,
You can't do that. You can't catch a process
And even when you think you see movement
You've just noticed how many inbetweens
You must be missing for change to seem smooth.
Smooth. Restful. Not quite dead. Not quite extinct
But quietly capable of watching
The awareness of what awareness missed.
