Once Was a Retentive God

Once was a retentive god
Who said, I’ll make a new world,
Then went into the workshop

To start making a garden,
Or went into the garden
To start building a workshop,

And then began to move things,
Heaps and heaps and waves of things,
Nothing much but everything,

Between them, from the garden
To the workshop, from workshop
Back to the garden again,

Again and again. This went on
For quite some time, has gone on
Quite some time, is still going

On today in the garden
And the workshop, once again.
Will it go on forever?

We couldn’t say. We don’t know,
And we suspect you don’t know.
Seems like no one knows. The End.
