Physicists don’t care
About the particular
State of the cosmos
Just this moment; after all
Yesterday it was different
And tomorrow it will be
Different. This moment itself
Differs from itself
As we measure it,
While tomorrow is only
A confection of what’s left
Of yesterday stirred
As fiction and prediction.
And yet, they do care, bless them.
