Teach me how to pray,
Here in the desert,
Far from your underwater
Kingdom of copper.
Here I have nothing but stones
To provide for me,
Offer the way of the saint.
I am nothing like a saint,
Kumugwe. I love
Your octopus face,
Your collecting obsession.
