It's easy enough to say
Your life is out of control
In blessings and tragedies,
But in inexorable
But slow decay? That's bitter,
A pill you'd rather swallow
Than ever taste on the tongue,
Which is where it sits, fizzing,
The ghost seen as a memoir.
