Sancho Panza's Sly Intent

Believe nothing or everything
As the wind blows and the nose
Suggests any opportunity to feast.

Hide behind a fog of proverbs
And bottomless appetite
For contradiction and nonsense.

Feel around the world as around
The rim of a bowl in the dark.
To be happy, be full. Anticipation

Is memory agitating the tongue.
There could be something good
Here, if only you could get at it.
