If you were in shadow,
Had always been immersed
In shadows, would you then
Risk detaching yourself
From the shades to walk out
Where people would spot you?
Judge not, that ye be not.
Be not, so no one feels
Their desire to judge you.
In the shadows, you may
Remain a sacred wood,
A gap without a god,
Perhaps, but not trampled,
Sacred in the small sense
Of being left alone.
