Classification itself,
Although it appears muted,
Belongs neither to the past
Nor to the otherworldly.
It belongs to the future.
Therefore, names, however strange,
May be understood as wrong,
As children, as inchoate
Adults their namers will not
Succeed in long perusing,
As namers live unperused
By the ancient trees that lean
Over the axes intent
On milling the truth as them.
